I can’t believe I ate the WHOLE turkey!

What?!
Some personal trainer in Hawaii ate a WHOLE turkey?
I actually did not eat the whole turkey.
“I can’t believe I ate the whole turkey!” was really a little homemade paper sign that me, my kid sister, and my cousins taped onto Grandpa’s back during a Thanksgiving get together with my Dad’s side of the family in Washington State; before my sister and I moved to Hawaii.
In the 4 years since my accident, numerous people have told me on countless occasions that I’m lucky to be alive, or lucky to still be able to walk.
I came so incredibly close to death at such a young age.
Heck yeah I’m thankful– and not just today!
Every day is a day to be thankful.
Every day is an opportunity to be a good person to others and make the world a better place.
Every day is a day to be good to yourself.
Every day is a celebration of life.
Fortunately, most people don’t have to work on this day and we hopefully get to celebrate it with our loved ones; eating some really good grub and perhaps a few adult beverages.
Please enjoy yourselves–in moderation, of course.
Remember, a little common sense goes a long way.
You don’t have to eat the WHOLE turkey.
May you find yourself surrounded with people that love you.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Stay Strong,
Chris
