Check Out Joyce’s Fitness With Chris

What can you accomplish in one month’s time? How much of a change can you really make in 30 days?

When I’m interviewing potential clients, I’m looking for a few traits in a person to make sure that my personal training program is right for them. I don’t just take anybody’s money. I want to create raving fans who are so happy with my service that they walk around telling other people about the wonderful experience they had with me.

I do this by “qualifying” them.

I’m looking for answers to questions like:

  1. What has this person tried before to reach their fitness goals?
  2. Is this person really serious about reaching their fitness goals?
  3. Is this person a hard worker?
  4. Is this person teachable and willing to learn?
  5. Is this person really willing to commit the amount of time and effort needed to reach what they are aiming for?

Well, Joyce fit the bill perfectly. And working hard was her forte.

Here’s a picture of Joyce at the beginning of August.

Here’s a few shots of Joyce making progress towards her goals of adding lean muscle, increased definition, and a firmer, more toned body.

Here’s Joyce setting up for a pike on my Power Wheel.

Here’s Joyce getting into the starting position for a deadlift.

This is a picture of Joyce performing a single arm db row.

Here we see Joyce performing a triceps rope extension.

Then at near the beginning of September, I get a text message from Joyce saying, “Hey! Check out the new picture I put up on my myspace page.”

Here’s that picture.

Joyce reduced her body fat, increased her lean muscle mass, increased muscle tone, added more definition, and gained a ton of confidence.

And here’s that raving fan letter she wrote:

To Whom It May Concern:

I am an Exercise Science, Health & Nutrition Pre-Medicine major at Pacific Union College.  Based on my background and having experienced Chris’s training program firsthand, I can say with complete confidence that he is definitely one of the best certified professional trainers out there.   Choosing him to be my professional trainer was one of the best decisions I have ever made.  I learned more from him about exercise and diet than from my college professors and gigantic textbooks.  Chris is highly knowledgeable in his field.  He is up-to-date with the latest work out techniques and is in tune with the most modern information in diet and nutrition.  With his wisdom, he was able to take my goals and create a program for me that was challenging but not impossible.  Chris was always there to motivate me and guide me every step of the way. He helped me achieve some fitness goals I didn’t even know I could accomplish.

Chris has taught me the true definition of what it means to “exercise”.  Chris never failed to push me to my limit. After Chris’s challenging work outs, I realized that one large error I used to make in the gym was that I would put limits on myself.  It was this blunder that had been halting my progress and made me feel like I was stuck in a seemingly endless plateau.  Chris has showed me that I can go beyond my pre-conceived limits and that I am capable of accomplishing amazing things I never dreamed of achieving.   I’m a very petite individual, standing only 4‘ 9″ tall and weighing 86.5 lbs. I was able to squat 115 lbs for 10 reps near the end of my program.  Chris’s intense training style and constant motivation has allowed me to realize that I should never underestimate myself.  These accomplishments have empowered me not just physically, but emotionally and spiritually as well.  The differences I’ve seen in my performance and my physique has given me higher self-esteem and boosted my self-confidence.

Chris always emphasized that the program he designed for me should not be temporary or considered a quick fix for my physique.  Rather, he stresses that true success can be had by never losing sight of my goals, staying consistent with proper exercise & nutrition, and most importantly taking the tools he is giving me and incorporating them into my lifestyle for as long as I live.  I have learned so much from Chris and I wish that I could have trained with him longer.  I hope that when I return to Hawaii I can continue training with him. He is definitely the best.  Not only is he the best, but he is friendly and very professional.  I know that there is no other trainer out there who will cater to your needs as he will.  I believe that anyone considering personal training should definitely give him a try.  If you don’t want to take my word for it or if you are even the least bit skeptical, give him one chance to allow him to show you what he can do for you.  Once you experience his techniques and see how good he truly is, there is no going back to your old lifestyle.  I truly believe that choosing Chris Ranes as your professional trainer will be one of the best decisions you will ever make in your life.

Thank you so much, Chris. You have changed my life forever.

Sincerely,

Joycelyn Ampon

Not bad for one month’s time, eh?

Take good care of yourself Joyce! We’ll miss you here in Hawaii!

Aloha!

Stay Strong,

Chris
